drivers, with the great majority of indicators of ecosystems and biodiversity showing rapid decline.<\/em>\u201d (p. 11)<br \/>\n\u201c<em>Human actions threaten more species with global extinction now than ever before.<\/em>\u201d (p. 11)<br \/>\n\u201c<em>Climate change is a direct driver that is increasingly exacerbating the impact of other drivers on nature and human well-being.<\/em>\u201d (p. 13)<br \/>\n\u201c<em>In the past 50 years, the human population has doubled, the global economy has grown nearly fourfold and global trade has grown tenfold, together driving up the demand for energy and materials.<\/em>\u201d (p. 13)<\/p>\n<p>Those are four sentences taken out from the IPBES summary for policymakers of the \u201cGlobal Assessment Report on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services\u201d, the first intergovernmental report about the global state of nature, ecosystems and ecosystem services ever.<br \/>\nNow, the final version of the IPBES report is available and worth
